We have produced a flier for you to put in your home/car/office windows and share with your friends. We have an amazing line-up of costumed stewards, a clown/juggler, music, food, a special Northampton Castle ale from Frog Island brewery, a Maypole, a craft fair and so much more!
So please come along, and spread the word! Do you have a local community notice board? Village Hall? Print out the fliers and let’s get some crowds!

The May revels were featured recently in the Chronicle and Echo, here’s what they had to say:
Do you hanker for the simple pleasures of yesteryear, of fun and games to welcome Spring? Come along to the May Revels, organised by the Friends of Northampton Castle (FONC) for Bank Holiday Monday on 7th May. May kings and queens will be crowned and attractions include children’s games, wandering musicians and story-tellers, and a craft fair. Frog Island Brewery are supplying a special brew called Castle Ale (served in the Old Black Lion pub) and naturally there will be a maypole! The event is centred in Chalk Lane, where FONC intend to recreate a medieval castle street scene, and refreshments will be served in nearby Dodderidge Church on Castle Hill. Guided tours of St Peter’s Church will also be avalable. FONC would love to hear from musicians, street entertainers, artists, craftworkers and volunteers willing to participate in this imaginative event. Please e-mail NorthamptonCastle@gmail.com for details.
Visit www.northamptoncastle.com to read more about the Friends of Northampton Castle’s proposals to create a historic gateway area between the railway station and town centre. Their ideas include uncovering the Castle remains amid a landscaped medieval garden, and development of a Medieval Heritage Hub in Marefair.
